Seriously, I haven’t been slacking…
Hey folks, I know I have not posted any new photos in a little while, but I reassure you that I haven’t been slacking. Just busy with work, personal life, and still editing some wonderful photos from Marc & Johanna’s wedding. Also, every time I want to bring the camera and gadgets out, it rains!!! I don’t know about you, but I’m not standing in the rain (even it if rains for 10 minutes) with my camera and lenses. Me getting wet?: no problem. Camera/lenses: absolutely not.
Anyway, more photos to come. I plan to get out and shoot the New York City Waterfalls, and if I get a good spot, the Macy*s Fireworks Spectacular on July 4th. Stay tuned.
Young, Fly & Flashy
Last Saturday, my friend Boomer brought his sister-in-law-to-be Tanasia over to do a shoot. This was our second time shooting together, but this time around everyone was more prepared – on my side: better camera, better lenses, on her side: more clothes, and an MUA (makeup artist). It was late, it was fun, she had a cold, but still pulled off some decent shots. Also, Mr. Fashion Hurtz was also in the building.
You can see more of her on Model Mayhem. She’s just starting out, has a great personality, needs a little coaching and the experience; etc. Any other photographers that read this and interested in shooting with her, please give her a shout.
Congrats Sis!
My sister has graduated from the 8th grade!! Now the real journey begins.
Congrats to you, all the awards you received, and your full scholarship to Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School!!!!!!

Shot with Canon EOS 30D & Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8
Unedited with the exception of cropping and dpi reduction.
Soooo, you think you have it bad?
Making my way home after work, the Q train was coming into the Union Square station. It was an unusual site as the doors opened to see 3 huge garbage bags, and a crate by the door, and to everyone’s surprise, it was not followed by a foul odor. As I and others poured into the car, there was this woman out cold holding an open bottle of water. As the train moved, this woman did not budge, as if her head/neck were locked in position as well as the kung-fu grip she had on the bottle. Everyone just stared, and stared, and stared at her until I took out my camera. Then ‘I’ became the center of attention. I took the shot and put the camera away. One passenger shook her head at me, but I refrained from flipping her the bird.
She didn’t appear to be homeless, but clearly she was surely down on her luck. She struggled to get off the train at Atlantic Avenue because those bags literally weighed a ton! Finally as the conductor yelled at me to let go of the door, another woman helped her off as clothes poured out on the platform.
So you still think you have problems?
LESSON: Be thankful for what you have or whatever situation you may be in. Remember, it could be much much worse, and “she” could be you (or me) at any time.
The Kooks
As the EMI Summer Rooftop Concert Series continues, The Kooks stopped by the New York Headquarters to put on a show for all employees. They were in town for two shows at Terminal 5 in midtown Manhattan – yesterday (6/10), and today (6/11). Per the free newspapers I grab in the mornings, both shows SOLD OUT!
It was a big turn out, rooftop packed full of adoring fans. Here are some photos of their performance on the rooftop. ENJOY!

My First Wedding Experience
Man o man o man…where do I start. I’m still “geeked” about having shot my first wedding. It was a long, and HOT day, and I mean HOT, but I had a lot of fun. I’ve always respected wedding photographers, and after my experience, that respect has only been elevated to the highest levels!
Almost Show Time!
Today was Marc & Johanna’s wedding rehearsal. Finally an opportunity to see what I’m working with in the church before the big day on Saturday. It was around 7pm, so it was a little dark in there, but the staff and the priest said, the sunlight WILL come through the HUGE windows on either side of the church.
Action!
Two intense plays from the EMI softball game on Tuesday after the Mutlu Performance…
Mutlu @ EMI
Mutlu (pronounced Moot-loo), one of the Blue Note Label Group‘s artist came by to start of the Summer Rooftop Concert Series we have at the j.o.b., and brought a little taste of Philly (cheesesteaks…yum). I’ve heard his/their music before, and it’s pretty good. Armed with my camera as usual, here are a few photos from the event.
An Afternoon in Port Jefferson
So I was out with the family at Port Jefferson by the North Shore looking at one of the ferries coming in, and I stumbled on this sign and found it amusing as usual. There were so many folks with cameras, yet no one was being questioned, plus you can’t miss me and my big @$$ camera!
Some other random pics I took of the shore and some custom paint jobs on a bike and car. I was busy pushing my 2-yr old daughter in her stroller so I couldn’t get toooo involved in “photography”….
