New York City Waterfalls, Part I

Anxious to shoot yesterday, I wanted to make a trip to Brooklyn Heights to check out the falls, before it got too dark to shoot handheld.  Unfortunately, I ended up in the city because you can no longer make a left turn onto Tillary Street from Adams Street and it was getting dark.  So I had no choice but to go across the Brooklyn Bridge.  I ended up on South Street, and I have to say looking at the falls lit up with the white LED‘s is spectacular! The waterfall by Pier 35 looks amazing, but I favor the one under the Brooklyn Bridge.  I took several handheld shots, but I definitely needed my tripod.  Here’s one “steady” photo from last night.

I’ll be revisiting this shoot very very soon, trust me.

  1. this is hot, looks a whole lot better than when I’m the Q or B train passing the waterfalls during the day. Can I get a closer shot, just walk across the water and get that for me. Thanks!
