Sharing

My friend Terri ANN, shared an interesting link with me today from photographer Jan von Holleben.  Check out his work and projects on his site.  I’ve been slacking with my own photography, but I’m always inspired by day-to-day life, and viewing works from others.  Thanks Terri! :)

It Rains, It Pours

Another rainy day.
(photo below was taken a few weeks ago at the Newkirk Avenue train station for the B/Q lines).

Raekwon on the EMI/Capitol Records Rooftop, NYC

So apparently, Raekwon was in the building the other day!  I couldn’t stick around for it, daddy duty called, but I heard he rocked it, performing tracks from OB4CL1 and OB4CL2!  Also to mention, it was the FIRST, I repeat FIRST hip-hop event on the rooftop EVER! (I wonder if anyone was scared…lmfao!). Only Built for Cuban Linx 2 (Sept 8, 2009)

You Dont’ Have To Take My Word For It…

I cannot believe Reading Rainbow’s time on television is coming to an end TODAY, August 28th, 2009, after 26 years of being on the air.  I grew up on Reading Rainbow and many other PBS-Channel 13 shows (to mention: Sesame Street, 3-2-1 Contact, Mister Rogers Neighborhood, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Magic Schoolbus, Dragon Tales,…..), long before my family even had cable TV.  Wow!

Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high,
Take a look, it’s in a book — Reading Rainbow …

Hot/Humid Day, Hot Studio (A/C behind the backdrop, damn :-( ), Hot Lights, Good music (BIGGIE!!), and some cool shots for this brotha who does voice-over and has his own production company.  Check it out, check out the pics…

Reggae Fest (Benefit for Music Goes Green)

On Saturday, some friends and I attended the concert in Union Square Park, NYC.  It wasn’t all reggae, there were a few R&B and hip-hop acts, but all were entertaining.  I was there to capture a performance by King David, but  decided to just shoot all of the performers.  Figure why not make use of my time while cooking in the brutal heat and humidity, but it was worth it, and the photos came out crisp as usual :)   Check out the set on Flickr.

Eddie & Tamara’s Wedding!

It was a good day to get married.  Sunny, not uncomfortably hot or humid, great people, a big family, good times, and a happily married couple.  I wasn’t the wedding photographer this time around, but I was definitely happy to just be a guest.  However, I did have my DSLR minus all the gear.  Just my 30D without the battery grip or 580ex, looking like the average joe with a DSLR.  Deception is a beautiful thing, I just don’t shoot on AUTO.  I snapped a handful of photos, check ‘em out…

Mash Up Series, Volume 1

So my dudes (and lady) performed on Wednesday night @ Public Assembly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Show was definitely a hit, EVERYONE put it down!!  Shout outs to all that came out!!  Shout outs to Absolut, Preme, Kayla Bliss, Breezy, Fresh, King James, BKBOYEEZ, and the rest of the peoples!

Click the pic below to see the pics posted on Flickr, and below are also a few video clips I caught.  Came out pretty decent!  Holla at ya boy!!
