All I Do Is Win!!

It’s catchy and I like it! :)

Got money on mind, I can never get enough!!

1-9-9-8 Throwback!

Happy its raining out to ease the early onset of my allergy symptoms. Generally from April – June, you can call me Mr. Grumpy lol, but allergy season has arrived a tad bit early.  As I’m home today and having recovered from partially swollen eyes early this morning, I saw my old ring from high school, and thought….PHOTO OP!

This ring brings back so many memories, and high school was probably the best four years of my life…I made good friends, and thanks to Facebook, we were all able to reconnect. X-MEN for LIFE!

Blue & Gold

Bowling for Brooklyn

So about a month or so ago, my boys Curtis, Justin, Andrew, Bleu and I decided to get together to bowl on a regular basis, with the intention to join a league at some point, but first…we must practice, practice practice!  We all can bowl decently, but we all need to be consistent with our scoring.  Here’s to Team Pin Down!  LET’S GO!! :)

Below is the ball-shoe-bag combo I bought at their Pro-Shop.  It sure beats wearing house shoes, and searching for a decent house ball!  My 12-lb ball has been drilled to my hand’s measurements, and shoes that only I will be wearing. No disinfectant spray required lol!

You can find us at Gil Hodges Lanes, Brooklyn, NY getting a workout on Wednesday nights!  (and sometimes on Sunday’s and Monday’s).

THE GEAR

Random (Dashboard)

I had my DSLR with me while hanging out with my daughter.  Nissan Xterra dashboard (not my car lol).

Flashing Lights Lights Lights Lights!

And the photo that EVERYONE takes…because I know I have in the early stages of creating photos with my Rebel XT:

Looking Back

Time To Get Fresh!

This is the guy who’s been cutting my hair since I was 14 years old. This is the guy who has given me all sorts of haircuts and even chopped off my flat top as that era ended and I matured! And this guy’s name is Ronnie.

Why I Was Almost Late For The 9-5

Usually, I am out of my house before 8:00, but as I was getting ready this morning I heard something about photography, then I heard stay tuned for it in the 8 o’clock hour, so I HAD TO see what this is about.  As 8:00am came, the segment began with the Today Show hosts asking “How does Ann (Curry) find balance in her hectic schedule?” I was glued to the tube for the next 10 minutes for obvious reasons.

Balance is not between work & family apparently (mental note definitely taken).  Now I am compelled to find time to walk around New York City with my DSLR as her description of photography is right on the money, and it’s exactly how I feel.  Plus, check out her camera!

Watch the video clip [click on the screen capture below]. Enjoy!

(Oh, by the way, I made it to work at 9:02)

Ann Curry reveals how her passion for photography helps her manage a work-life balance.

En Route To Work…

I could not resist taking this picture with my iPhone.  I saw her sparkling down the stairs at the West 4th Street station running for the local F/V train.  Then blinded me as she sat across from the way with her reflective crystal ball “leggings“?  Seriously though, what makes a person wear something like this? Oh, don’t forget that Louis bag to complete the look! Lol! :)

Shoot with Derek…and that Hollywood guy

Despite yesterday’s HORRIBLE weather, Corey “Hollywood”, his sister, and his boy Derek trooped from Harlem to Brooklyn, with the trains all screwed up as usual on the weekends.  What else is new? Lol.  I have to give them credit for still managing to get here on time!

Anyway, we got some good shots, and it was the first time using some new items that I purchased, and I must say I’m very happy, anddddd there will be no more use of white backgrounds unless it absolutely calls for it. “Fashion Gray” is the shiznit! I should have purchased it sooner ;)

Peace!

A few more after the jump.

Happy 4th Birthday To My Daughter!!!

I can’t believe she’s 4 already…geez.  Shot from the quick and fun photo shoot with daddy in the studio!! :)

The BIG Girl

Stepping Outside The Box, Enhancing The Skills

As you all know, I’m passionate about photography, and my recent addiction, well several months really, have been weddings.  Having done four by myself, I really have been into the art of wedding photography as I would like to be really good at it, and master various techniques.  From eyeballing shows such as Platinum Weddings and My Fair Wedding with David Tutera, your boy is hooked! I need the know-how, the gear, the time, and patience, but I’m ready and willing! :)

Some Reading Material I picked up while hanging out in B&N

A Short One

Can you believe it’s March 1st already?? Weren’t we just ringing in the new year? Geez. Times flies nor does it wait for anyone.

So I’ve been a bit busy,  unfortunately it hasn’t been photography-related.  Just busy with work, errands and life in general.  But the good news is that I have some shoots lined up this month, so expect to see some things soon! (as long as people don’t postpone/cancel). ‘Cuz Mike doesn’t like that! :)
